2Live4Him Logo and Blog Design

2live4him

N. Karsten Chearis needed a blogger template for his blog, 2Live4Him, so along with the blog template came an idea for a logo. The logo itself is designed to convey that we are to live for Him 24 hours per day (this was my thought at least). Karsten wanted a paper look and his own logo concept included kind of a dark stone background. It’s a great blog by the way – the content is well worth subscribing to!

Danny Kirk is a Pastor in St. Louis and also serves as a Missions Director for the BMA of Missouri and the Meramec Association. He spends much of his time mentoring church planters and young Pastors, so a blog is an ideal way for him to share his life and advice with leaders at large. We created a simple logo for his site and modified the Ministry Free WordPress theme to launch DannyRKirk.com.

Making The Most of Being Under Construction

3 Comments to Read

Wanna know the problem with an “under construction” page? Well, there are several. First, your content (or lack thereof) gets indexed and the cashed version of your page may not be updated for a while. Second, nobody knows how long you’ve been under construction, nor how long you’ll be that way. Third, it leaves a deflated feeling in your visitors when they click a link on your main page. Why You Need To Get Sticky

Be the First to Comment

I’m normally not a fan of sticky. Seeing the juice of an apple run down gives me the heebie-jeebies, and one of the most frustrating things to do is get a little bit of sugary soda on the outside of the cup. Remember that scene in Christmas Vacation when Clark Grizwald can’t get the sap off his hands? That scene haunts me to this day – can’t stand sticky! Read the rest of this article »

The New eGrace Creative Is Here!

I’ve been re-designing this site since I first launched! In fact, I have a hard drive full of designs with “potential” that just never really crystallized into the right design for me. I’ve finally settled in on one that I believe reflects my personality and tastes quite well. Let me share the thought process with you… Read the rest of this article »

Balance of Blue WordPress Theme – Updated!

Be the First to Comment

Screenshot of Balance of Blue

I’ve completed work on a custom WordPress theme I’m calling Balance of Blue. I designed it with business applications in mind. I’m an advocate for using WordPress as an entire site solution and content management system, so this theme was created to highlight the potential for that kind of usage.

Please note: I’ve updated this theme and have based it on better code, so it now supports gravatars, tags, and other important features.
