Pricing Information
Please understand, I don’t post specific pricing information on my web site for a very important reason. Every project must be viewed as individual, having unique needs and requirements. To offer a “package” price, I believe, defeats the purpose of hiring a freelance designer. Nonetheless, I also feel that it’s important to offer at least some kind of ballpark estimate of what my services cost. So here are some general ideas about pricing…

A Static Brochure-style Site
By static, brochure-style is meant a web site that acts as an online brochure. Little, if any, interactivity exists and the site does not require a content management system. It’s five to ten pages of information with perhaps a single contact form. From graphic design and initial slicing to a fully coded site and final server setup will generally cost between $1,200 and $1,800, depending on the size of the project.
A Site With an Open Source Content Management System
If you need to be able to write articles, manage a calendar, or add information down the road and wish to use an open source content management system such as WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, or CMS Made Simple (these are the four I recommend most often) in addition to the graphic design and coding, then your site would range from $1,500 to $3,000, depending again on the amount of special customizations and overall size of the project.
A Fully Custom Application and Web Site
When it comes to the custom development of applications, from scratch, pricing and time frame varies. If your organization has such unique needs, your site would most likely cost between $3,000 and $6,000 depending on the time involved in developing your application.
Do remember that the purpose of hiring a freelance designer is to have a unique and individual concept, attention to detail, and personal support.
