Church Logos and Ministry Logo Design

What can having a church logo do to grow your church? Very little! If you want a church logo for that purpose, you’re thinking backwards. Be the church. Touch your community. Then let a logo identify you quickly. A church logo is simply a way for people to associate a simple image with you. Who you are as a church will be brought to the minds of those who recognize your symbol.

I love designing church logos and ministry logos. I’m a Pastor myself, so I have a deep appreciation for representing the vision and values of a church through simple imagery. I can understand quite well why some church leaders draw back from anything that looks too marketing-oriented, but marketing is simply the communication of an idea in an effective way, and a church or ministry logo is definitely a part of that.
