ThemeLove – Where My Love for Wordpress Shall Be Shown
Update: I’ve now sold Themelove to free up time for other things, which is a common habit for me – gotta stop starting stuff! Or stop stopping started stuff… or something.
I love Wordpress. In fact, with very few exceptions, I utilize it on almost every design/development project. I’ve been able to create blogs, business sites, educational sites, ecommerce sites, and am currently using it to develop a membership-driven project as well. I love gazing at nice Wordpress themes and reading tutorials. This is my hobby… tutorials… cause I’m such a fun guy!
I’ve just launched a blog to celebrate all things Wordpress, and I introduce to you, ThemeLove.
I’ll be using ThemeLove as a place to feature great themes (mostly one at a time), both premium and free. It will also become the launching pad for future themes that I develop. I want to pass along tutorials. As I break sites and fix them and make new things happen, I want to pass along the gleanings to other bloggers and developers.
The site’s address is www.themelove.net, and here’s the feed/subscription address.
I launched it the night before last and started off with 25 Beautiful and Unique Wordpress-powered Sites, which after getting around Twitter and a few design news sites, has created a very nice burst of initial traffic – around 700 pageviews in the first 48 hours.

After launching quite a few blogs (most of which have either gone to other owners or bitten the dust), I can tell you a few things I’ve learned about launching…
- Launch fast. Don’t wait for perfection. There are cons and risks to this, but my gut says to act on your passion.
- Launch big. Have several posts up and spread the word.
- That’s it. Launch fast and big.
Let me know what you think, and spread the word!

Great site Brandon- I wish you much success with it! Very good idea.
Nice work Brandon, looking forward to this one. Always room for more WordPress related sites. Great job on the site itself by the way!
Thanks Jeremy, and by the way, I’m really liking Charlene! (Don’t tell my wife…) Gonna have to feature that on ThemeLove!
