I’m Giving Away One Logo Design

I love designing logos. In fact, of all the different tasks I complete, it’s my favorite from sketch to print. I also love making a difference for churches, ministries, and nonprofits. So I’m trying something new here at eGrace Creative – I’m giving away a logo design. I would love to choose a worthy nonprofit or ministry organization and come alongside a visionary leader to help create a symbol and identity for media and communications.

Why A Free Logo Design?

I’m giving away this design for these, among other reasons:

  • To sharpen my skills – practice makes perfect.
  • Because I want to help, to give back.
  • I’d like the exposure, so help me spread the word.
  • I’d like to build my portfolio via a pro bono project now and then.
  • I like getting to know people through the process.

How To Become Eligible

There are two things I’d like you to do in order to be eligible. Leave a comment below introducing yourself and the organization you represent. Feel free to leave a link or two, and explain why you need a logo. Tweet about this giveaway either by tweeting your comment or posting a link to this post on Twitter. Don’t use Twitter? That’s okay, post it anywhere else such as Facebook or on a blog somewhere.

Now, help me get the word out…

UPDATE August 5, 2009

I’m loving the entries I’ve been receiving and would love to choose everyone! Which is what led to me inviting other designers who might be interested to participate. If you would like to help, contact me about which two or three really touch you. If you participate, I’ll write a post about you and the work you do on the project.

UPDATE August 7, 2009

I’ve reached a decision about two projects I’m going to take on. After receiving all of these entries, I had a VERY hard time narrowing things down. I came down to two compelling projects and plan on balancing both if at all possible. I’ll be announcing the winners soon, after finalizing some plans with each. Again, if you’re a designer and are as touched as I am by the comments below, please get in touch with the organization or with me. Would be a neat team effort to meet multiple needs.

I too am a designer, but as of late have been buried in other work and desperately need a logo for our Christian School… it's a school from K-10th Grade, and we need a new crest, emblem, whatever – something fresh… would LOVE to see what someone else could come up with!

    Hi Brandon.

Not sure I fit into your categories but I've been wanting to have a logo / header for my blog (ChurchTechy.com) since its inception. I think it is the one thing that is missing and because I don't have one all of my own I'm constantly messing with the theme and forever changing it.

I like the theme I have at the moment, but the logo is non-existent. I'd love for you to develop one for me but I guess time will tell.

And thanks for the opportunity to even try.

Sup Brandon, I just resigned as pastor from CrossPoint in Little Rock. However, I am trying to develope my blog skills. I want to use it as a platform for ministry. I work at Kroger, I am a bus driver. I am also going back to School to fast track from my degree to become a High School teacher in the public system. I want my blog to be a cross culteral thing to “minister” in the work place and as a preacher. Would LOVE to win this thing!! Thanks bro!

    • Brandon says:

Randy, glad to hear from you. God’s going to use you in a mighty way in your new role.

This would be awesome, we @ journeys coffeehouse are looking at opening up a second main street ministry venue and are looking at totally tightening up the brand/logo that we all ready have started. There is only so much that an un-trained guy can do w/ photoshop.

I just started a company in Israel, I am looking for a graphic artist to help develop iPhone apps for the Israeli market. The company name is “Israel Appstore” in terms of logo designs we are open to anything. Feel free to take a shot.

Jonathan, thanks for commenting. I’m definitely wanting to do this for a nonprofit of some kind though.

I am the president of Morris Catholic High School, a coed suburban high school in need of an image makeover. We have a very faith-filled staff and our kids are great. Our image however is in need of some work. We just launched a social networking drive in order to start this process. Can you help?

  7. Hey there, I'm Wayne Cordova, one of the Pastors at Crosspoint Church a church plant in Spring Hill, FL. I'm an amateur Graphic Design enthusiast and designed our church logo before we launched, but soon we'll be working on some re-branding and I'd love a professional logo that will help get our branding an image out there to the community.

    Our website is http://crosspointlive.com

    Thanks for doing this contest!

  9. We would love the chance at a logo design. As a small, youth-run non-profit organization working towards education in the developing would, we could benefit from your expertise as we continue to increase our exposure. We are looking for ideas as we re-design our current website and continue to maintain an active presence on the Web 2.0! Please learn more about us at http://accesscharity.ca or connect with us through social networks at http://accesscharity.ca/connect!

Hello from Pea Ridge AR! We are a nonprofit organization developed to raise funds to build a new football stadium in Pea Ridge AR. The current stadium was built in 1962 (yes 47 years ago). From that time to today the size of the community has grown drastically. Pea Ridge once a 1A football team (the smallest classification in the state) is now in the 4A classification. One example of why we need a new facility – the current dressing room for a visiting team holds 20 players (good for a 1A school) however teams now come to Pea Ridge with 60 players! Where will they be at half time and getting dressed before and after the game? Our goal is to raise $3 Million to build a new stadium. We have 500K right now. We need to save money in every area we can, and would LOVE for you to donate a logo design for our fund raising campaign!

  11. This is really nice of you… I noticed that in the US Churches are relly working with our time… In France we are one century (ou more!) late. Our communication is so weak that most of the people believe Church is out of time… So, if sometimes you feel and could help our old continent, I, personally, would love it! May God bless your gift and make it powerfull for His Glory

    • Brandon says:

Thanks so much Bertrand. I’d love to see France someday. I do know that Christianity has a much different persona in the U. S. than in western Europe, but there are believers all over the world, which is really great!

  12. Hi Brandon,

My wife and I are redesigning http://www.cornerstonedallas.org/

This is an inner-city church that uses their resources better than any other church I’ve ever seen by impacting the community with low income housing, homeless feedings, and the list goes on and on.

They have not changed their website in the last 5 years! They’re in dire need of a redesign, and I think your logo and wordmark design for them would be the icing on the cake.

They will use their new site to organize hundreds of volunteers each year to come and serve the least of these in South Dallas. A lot of good can come from this. Thanks!

    • Brandon says:

Daniel – thanks not only for commenting, but for your enthusiasm!! Under consideration.
